Grand Pianoramax started as a keyboards and drums duo led by Leo Tardin, with initial live performances starting around 2002. It was soon to be completed with guests vocalists and spoken words artists on about half of the pieces.

Notable collaborators included Jojo Mayer, Deantoni Parks, Adam Deitch, Julien Charlet, Yoann Serra and long-time partner Dom Burkhlater on drums, and JP Kalonji, Spleen, Invincible, long-time parner Black Cracker, and more recently Gaspard Sommer and Angelo Powers on vocals.

Grand Pianoramax released 6 studio albums and 3 vinyls between 2004 and 2020, on the ObliqSound and Mental Groove record labels, the latest one being self-released (see « albums » section).

Léo Tardin still occasionally performs with his Grand Pianoramax project, although the main years of activity seem to be behind, at least at this point.
